Pre-milking teat dips are solutions applied to a cow's teats before milking.  Their primary purpose is to disinfect the teat surface, reduce the bacterial load and the risk of mastitis (udder infection). This helps maintain milk quality and cow health. The dips typically contain an antiseptic agent along with other ingredients to help with teat condition and the dip's effectiveness.

Post-milking teat dips are solutions applied to a cow's teats after milking.  Their main function is to provide a protective barrier against bacteria that might enter the teat canal after milking. This helps prevent new infections from occurring.  These dips often contain a combination of substances that maintain teat health, promote healing of minor abrasions, and provide a physical barrier against environmental contamination. 

A none invasive technique that is much easier and safer than surgical removal. For a safer farm both for management and cows, dehorning makes it all easier. Safer during routine tasks such as vaccinating, treating illness, or moving animals, dehorned cows move much easier with a lesser risk of injury. Less injury translates to less stress and better productivity.
